ONCE UPON A TIME, THERE WAS NIGHT

The longing of a faint memory, unfazed by the malaise breath I take.

A sense of urgency with all the time in the world.

I am looking for myself in the absence of light.

This is a story that starts long ago…

In my adolescence, I would find myself wandering around my neighborhood, beneath electromagnetic power lines, overgrown fields, and abandoned shopping centers. I was intrigued by the unknown or what once was.  Always in search of a feeling I could not find in the comforts of my perceived existence.  I desired to be where others were not.  That feeling of being alone in a place

once occupied by life or not utilized by the public.

This collection of photographs depicts unique occurrences in my life.

Moments that stick with me, interpreted as I remember.

Dedicated to Kimberly.
